About
I was born and raised in Salinas, and graduated from Alisal High School in 1971. I worked in the automotive parts field from 1969 until 1999, where I starting out as a counter man and moved into management, eventually owning and operating Paul’s Auto Parts selling parts, paint, and machine shop services. In 2000 I entered the financial world of loans, Insurance, Investments, and budget/credit planning, and now hold the designation of Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist. This sets me apart from the rest of the field by providing the expertise to properly deal with client concerns such as:
How much should I budget for my monthly housing expenses?
How will my mortgage decision impact my financial ability to help my children pay for college or to help take care of my elderly parents?
How will it impact my financial ability to retire within the budget and timeframe that works for me?
How will it impact my monthly cash flow situation, ability to save money for the future, or manage and reduce my debt in a timeframe that works for me?
Should I purchase real estate for investment purposes?
Presently I reside in Salinas with my wife, Debi. We have three children; Matthew, who lives in Galt with his wife and two daughters, Jason, who recently completed his enlistment with the US Marines serving in Afghanistan and is back home, and Erica, who attends Stanislaus University studying for her career as a teacher.
My wife and I serve on the board of the Salinas Vineyard Church, where we manage a very busy and dynamic food ministry, and where I serve as the Chief Financial Officer.
